Rusk, Tx. - Rusk high school age girls, pictured above, participated in summer league basketball during June and July, ending their season with a record of 5 wins and 5 loses. The team was coached by Elmer Stewart, longtime community volunteer.
The team participated in the Central League, playing each Tuesday and Thursday in July against Hudson, Central, Diboll and Wells. They also played against Jacksonville (pictured right top), Kennard, Mt. Enterprise and Centerville. Players who made up the team were: Charnell Franklin, Courtney Foreman, Jasmine Harris, Grace Castillo, Kashera Mahummad.
